“Bent Objects” Secret Life of Objects – by Terry Border

In 2006 Terry Border started his Bent Objects blog as a way to make some extra coffee money. His thought was to grab some everyday objects, stick wire into them at strategic places to construct phenomenal characters reenacting daily life situations. Border states his reasons for making these creations was rather simple in design structure: “Basically, wire is very cheap, and ordinary objects are very cheap. Combining those two things together in a way that amuses me is fun and isn’t stressful like some other creative endeavors which cost lots of money for materials.” DIY creativity is a favorite for many people looking to spruce up their living area or fix up the yard… but creating hilarious DIY characters is a whole different form of creative genius.

My sister and I decided to play thanksgiving bingo about our family. I can only hope we will yell out BINGO in the middle of dinner.

My Indiegogo campaign is running out in 36 hours so here is one last shout out about that.
Things are turning out to be even more costly than I had assumed due to crazy paperwork that has to be sent back and forth between Germany and India and verified by different authorities. I might have to pay around 1000,- Euro just to get this piece of paper the German embassy is asking for. It’s complicated and I am trying to convince the embassy to find a different and more easy solution but I should not count on that working out.
So more than ever we really do need everyone’s help we can get.
Up until now we have reached 787,- Euro of our 2500,- Euro goal. I am so greatful to everyone who as contributed.
At the same time I hope some kind of miracle happens in the next 30 hours, we could use it.

Anonymous asked: I'm glad you're back! I missed your doodles if it means anything...

That is WAY too sweet. They are such a silly distraction but thanks for keeping me motivated!

Today I was on time to work. As a reward I bought myself this amazing smoothie from kure.
This reward actually made me late for work which sorta defeated the purpose.

My hand is still shaky when I try to draw anything. God I can’t believe it’s been this long.
Anyhow. I bought some bowls. ACTUALLY I bought these bowls yesterday but due to the pouring down rain plus a paper anthro bag means broken bowls.

June 19th. I ran to the drug store to pick up some tampons and a twix. The box of tampons were buy one get one. I have a lot of tampons in my purse right now. I could build a small dam.

I’m rusty and haven’t doodled in a long time. I’ve been busy crafting and drinking. So to get in the swing of it I recalled a Ted talk of a girl who doodled ever day to get back into it. I believe she doodled something that she purchased. So I thought why not!

I told my coworker that he looked like a homeless pencil (taken from New Girl). Then I drew him a homeless pencil.

His sign says ‘needs a sharpener’ but I ran out of room.

thirsty asked: Have you ever considered creating a doodle with a giant (or just considerably larger than a post-it) piece of poster board? It could be pretty epic.

That would be cool! although I do love the comfort of the small doodles..

While Matt is out, I made sure that no one noticed with this fool proof body double.
